Acceptable Use Policy

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you run on MatMul and to anyone using your account. Your instances run on shared provider infrastructure, so misuse by one customer can affect everyone — we enforce this policy strictly.

Not allowed

• Cryptocurrency mining, or any proof-of-work, proof-of-space or similar blockchain computation, including "testing" it.
• Illegal content or activity, including child sexual abuse material (which we report to the relevant authorities), and content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy.
• Attacking or probing other systems: denial-of-service, port or vulnerability scanning, brute-forcing credentials, or accessing systems without authorization — unless it's a test you're authorized to run against systems you own or have written permission to test.
• Malware, phishing, spam or botnets, including hosting or distributing them or controlling them from an instance.
• Open proxies, VPN exit nodes or anonymizing relays offered to third parties.
• Getting around our controls: evading spending or top-up limits, creating multiple accounts, reselling access, using someone else's payment method, or interfering with metering or monitoring.
• Harming the service or providers: trying to break out of your instance, reach other customers' resources, or disrupt the platform.
• Prohibited uses under sanctions or export control law (see the Terms, section 9).

Public app links (hosted content)

An app link makes a port on your instance reachable by anyone on the internet at an address we provide. Whatever you serve through it is your content, and you're responsible for it, for who you share the link with, and for what visitors can do with your app. In addition to everything above, you must not use an app link to:

• Impersonate anyone or collect credentials: login pages, payment forms or anything made to look like another person, company or service.
• Serve or distribute malware, or host command-and-control, exploit kits or files meant to harm the people who download them.
• Publish illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes others' rights, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Run an open proxy, VPN, relay or URL shortener/redirector for other people's traffic, or disguise where traffic comes from.
• Expose a mining pool, wallet service or other cryptocurrency infrastructure, or anything else this policy bans on the instance itself.
• Serve bulk media or file downloads as a general-purpose CDN, video streaming or file-hosting service. App links are for using your own apps and dashboards (ComfyUI, Jupyter, TensorBoard and the like), not for distributing large files at volume.
• Get around our limits on the number of links, for example by chaining links or running your own tunnel or gateway software to publish more.

New accounts may not be able to create public links until they're verified, and every account has a limit on how many it can have at once. We can remove any link at any time, without notice, if we believe it breaks this policy, has been reported for abuse, or puts our service, our providers or other people at risk. Freezing or closing an account, or blocking a user, removes its links. Removed links don't come back: their addresses are retired. We keep a record of who created each link and when, and may share it with the authorities where the law requires.

How we enforce it

We may look at usage signals such as GPU utilization patterns, network traffic volume and destinations, and reports from providers and third parties — not the contents of your data. If we believe this policy has been broken we may, without notice, stop your instances, freeze or close your account, and keep any remaining credits. Where the law requires, we report activity to the authorities. If you think we got it wrong, email us.
